The Northland Regional Council Whakamānawa ā Taiao - Environmental Awards recognise the people and organisations making a difference for Northland’s environment. Their commitment and incredible contributions are helping our environment thrive and their mahi is highly valued.

Despite the challenges of recent times, people across Te Taitokerau continue their inspiring mahi, and we are committed to acknowledging and celebrating these selfless achievements.

Entries for the 2023 awards are now open! Get your entry in by Sunday, 18 June to have your mahi recognised.

The work you're doing to improve the environment of Te Taitokerau is important and we we want to recognise and celebrate that. Sharing your mahi helps inspire others who are also working tirelessly to achieve their environmental goals.

If you’re an individual, community group, school, whānau, hapū, iwi, business, or leader working on a project to benefit Northland's environment, you could be eligible for an award. Find out what the judges will be looking for and if your project meets the criteria.
